On April 15th six packers showed up ready to pack our stuff to take to Okinawa, Japan. Then on the 16th the movers showed up with 11 crates to fill. I couldn't believe we needed that many crates. As each crate holds about 1,000 pounds!! Oh my, were we really about to take 11,000 pounds of stuff to Japan?

They filled the creates one by one until the last item went onto the crate. Turns out we only needed 9 crates. As they loaded the last few items on the truck we snapped a lovely family photo and one of the packing crew. They were great packers.

The girls assumed their usual position on the sidewalk to bid the truck a proper McDermott farewell. You see, every morning as Mark heads off to work the girls chase Mark's truck down the street. So as usual, the girls lined up to chase the truck down the street to the corner.
